We are a community with a “missional approach” that has an organic flow that is committed to producing authentic followers of Christ by creatively engaging the culture with innovative connections and conversations.
I know what you're asking right now, 'What in the world does all that mean?'
Well let me try to help.
Missional = We believe that each follower of Christ should be on mission for Him.
Organic Flow = We believe that it's the Holy spirit that leads us and that His leading is always moving. It's more like a river than a systematic model to be followed.
Authentic Followers = Just because you go to a church that does not mean that you are a true follower of Christ. To be authentic you must live as Jesus lived, love what Jesus loved and leave behind what Jesus left behind. (More on that later)
Creatively engaging the Culture = This simply means getting outside of the church walls and engaging the culture in stead of condemning it. Being salt and light in a dark and tasteless world.
Innovative connections = This means that we have to be out in the world and not be a part of it. We have to connect with those who are disconnected with Christ and His church. We should not expect them to just blindly embrace our Christian culture without first seeing Christ alive in us out in the 'Real World'.
Conversations = This means that we have to communicate with people what it means to be a follower of Christ. It helps when you use words that go with your deeds.

We believe that the Lord laid it on our heart to get out of our rut of just going to church every week. We were expecting the world to come to us instead of us going out into the world. So, we decided that we needed to actually live out our faith in plane view. This led us to start Four Winds Church in Royse City. We wanted to display the love of Christ and then only expect people to believe the message of the gospel after they see that our faith is real and relevant.
We have ministries that range from Hiking to motorcycle groups. We help hundreds of children each year by giving out school supplies and we do our best to help each individual that we can. We have most of our study groups out in public places like restaurants, coffee shops or where ever we can meet. Of course, some of our sharing groups meet in homes were prayer requests and personal information is kept private.
We don't claim to be prefect or have a new message from God. We just believe that many in the church have forgotten what Jesus actually told us to do. Evey one of us are called to make disciples. So, if you're willing to answer that call we would welcome you to join us. Why watch ministry happen when you can jump in and join in the process? The only real option is to get out there and live it and share it.
